Rough Weekend for Both the Stars A & B
The Stars A team travelled to Boston this past weekend to play the Jr. Bruins following a weekend off due to the weather. Syracuse came into the Boston series looking to break a three game losing streak. The opening game of the series on Saturday was not the answer , as the Jr. Bruins shutout the Stars 4-0. The Stars who have four players in the top 10 in scoring were held scoreless for the first time this season. Sunday proved to be no different as the Jr. Bruins once again defeat the Stars 4-1. The lone Stars goal was from Joe Wilson with the assists from Mike Montagna and Chase Fuchs.
The Stars will resume league action on Saturday, January 10th as they host the Bay State Breakers looking to snap their five game losing streak.
The Stars B team travelled to Long Beach, New York to take on Apple Core. This was their first games in two weeks because of weather. They fared no better than the Stars A team as they lost both games to Apple Core by the scores of 8-2 and 5-1. The Stars were led by the tandem of Zach O’Mara and James Cathers. O’Mara had two goals and an assist while Cathers had a goal and an assist.
The Stars B team will travel up north to Potsdam to take on the New York Coyotes.
