Two Syracuse Stars Alumni Selected
To Represent Team USA At
The World Junior Championships

Joe PalmerTwo former Syracuse Stars players, Joe Palmer and Kevin Montgomery, were selected to represent Team USA at the 2007 World Junior Championships in the Czech Republic beginning December 26, 2007.

Palmer, a standout goaltender for Ohio State University, played with the Syracuse Stars Junior Program from 2001-2004. The Ohio State sophomore was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 4th round in 2006.   

Montgomery, who presently plays for the London Knights in the OHL, played for the Syracuse Stars Junior Program in 2003-2004. Like Palmer, Montgomery attended Ohio State University in the Fall of 2006 prior to leaving to play for London. Montgomery was a 4th round draft pick by the Colorado Avalanche in 2006.
