Stars Sweep Weekend Winning
3 Games at NE Jr. Huskies Showcase

The Syracuse Stars won all three games this weekend at the NE. Jr. Huskies Showcase beating the Green Mountain Glades 4-3, the CD Selects 2-1 and the South Shore Kings 5-2.

In Friday’s 4-3 win over the Green Mountain Glades, Stars’ Captain Trevor Lewis scored a hat trick while Jared Williams recorded the other Syracuse goal. Chris Cannizarro added 2 assists and goaltender Chris Noonan stopped 24 of 27 shots.

In Saturday’s 2-1 win over the CD Selects, Chris Noonan was outstanding stopping 25 of 26 shots while Matt Wilson and Brendan Wharity scored the two Syracuse goals.

On Sunday Syracuse was back at it beating the South Shore Kings 5-2. Syracuse’s Rob Morton and Chris Cannizarro each had a goal and 2 assists while Kurt Akers, Mark Zengerle and Trevor Lewis rounded out the Syracuse scoring. Chris Noonan stopped 26 of 28 shots recording his third win of the weekend.
