Lewis and Cannizarro Lead Stars Over New England Falcons
Trevor Lewis and Chris Cannizarro each scored 2 goals on Saturday as the Syracuse Stars defeated the New England Falcons 6-0. Lewis and Cannizarro both scored power play goals in the 1st period to give the Stars a 2-0 lead. Dan Ford and Rob Morton scored in the 2nd period to increase the lead to 4-0. Lewis and Cannizarro scored again in the third to finish out the scoring. Stars’ Goaltender Chris Noonan faced only 13 shots from the Falcons to record his 2nd shutout of the year. The Stars were 4 for 10 on the power play and out shot the Falcons 48-13. With the victory the Stars continue to lead the Eastern Junior Hockey League's Northern Division with a record of 13-4-4-1.
