Stars (B) Defeat Northwood in OT
Bill Kent's goal twenty-eight seconds into overtime lifted the Syracuse Stars (B) team to a 4-3 win over the Northwood Prep Midget team. Syracuse jumped out to a 2-0 lead on goals from Mason Richardson and Zach O'Mara early into the second period. Northwood then rallied to score two goals in the final minute of the second to tie the game at 2-2. The Stars then took the lead again early in the third on a power play goal from Derrick Eccles. Northwood's Ryan Cappione tied the game with just under three minutes remaining to force the game into overtime.
Stars (B) Win Again
The Syracuse Stars B team continued their winning ways as they defeated the Northwood Prep Midget team 3-1. Jared Lehman scored late in the first period to give the Stars a 1-0 lead going into the first intermission. Northwood tied the game with the only goal of the second period from Chris Benoit. With the game tied and the third period winding down it looked like the two teams would play another overtime game but with 4:13 left in regulation James Cathers scored an unassisted goal that proved to be the game winner. Mason Richardson's empty net goal with 6 seconds remaining made the final score 3-1.
