STARS ZACH MARGINSKY COMMITS TO BENTLEY

The Syracuse Stars are proud to announce that defensman Zach Marginsky has committed to the Bentley Falcons for the 2010 season. Zach, from Auburn, NY is this years team captain for the Stars and has been the anchor of the teams defensive core. After a strong showing at the EJHL All Star game the Falcons coaches felt that Zach could step in to their defensive rotation next year. Stars coach Scott Montagna is thrilled that Zach will be getting this opportunity. Montagna stated, "Zach is a player that has just continued to improve in the 3 years he has been in the Stars program. At 6'6 and 215 lbs he is a prototype of a shutdown defender. I really believe Zach's best hockey is still in front of him. Bentley is getting a player with a ton of upside who is only going to get better, bigger and stronger and he has a tremndous work ethic. Plus he is a great kid with a great attitude. I know Coach Soderquist will be thrilled to have Zach as a member of the Falcon's."
As a 91 birth year Marginsky has put up 1 goal and 8 assists this season with a +9 rating to lead the Stars defense. Zach wanted to thank Coach Soderquist, Coach Murphy and the rest of the Bentley staff for the opportunity and is truly excited to become a Falcon next season. He also wanted to say thanks to his Dad Lenny and Mom Gerry for all their support throughout his time playing hockey. And lastly he wanted to thank the Stars coaches and organization for working with him and giving him the opportunity to earn the chance to play Division 1 college hockey.
