The Syracuse Stars are proud to announce that broadcasters Matt Schultz and John Crisafulli are advancing to new positions in the sports field. Schultz, a native of Syracuse and graduate of Cornell University and Syracuse University, has accepted a position with the National Hockey League. He has been the "Voice of the Stars" since 2006 having been the team's Public Address announcer and also calling play-by-play the last two years of Stars home games on the internet doing games via FastHockey.com. He was also employed by SportsRadio 620 WHEN as a host for the post game shows following Syracuse University football and basketball games and as a fill in talk show host.
Crisafulli, also from Syracuse and a graduate of Syracuse University and Georgetown University, has accepted a position at ESPN in Bristol, CT being named a studio production assistant for the network's SportsCenter show. He has been with the Stars the last two seasons providing color and play-by-play for the Stars webcasts..
